The Village Community Resource Center is a neighborhood-based non-profit organization (501 c3) which began in 1997 in response to the fatal shooting of a 15-year old boy on Village Drive. Our mission is to provide information, support and coordination of resources to empower and improve the quality of life of disadvantaged children and their families in a culturally sensitive environment. VCRC works with families to face their challenges so that we might teach our community to be responsible for our choices, to live with integrity and honesty, and to become proactive citizens. We focus on improving neighborhood conditions through prevention based programs in three areas: Education, Health Services, and Social Services.
Our services demonstrate a united community, where we take care of one another in times of need. The unity within our community makes us stronger and capable of handling any challenge that is presented.
