John Muir Mobile Clinic
The John Muir Mobile Clinic provides a wide range of medical services for all ages at no cost for those without health insurance including primary care and limited physicals, treatment for minor illnesses or injuries, limited medications, immunizations, non-emergency care requiring treatment from a physician or nurse, information and referral, health education and Spanish speaking staff. The third Saturday of each month, women’s health services are also offered. Services are on a walk-in basis, first come, first served every Saturday (except holidays) from 9am-12:00pm. Services are provided by the John Muir Physician Network and staff from John Muir Health in collaboration with La Clinica de La Raza and Contra Costa Health Services.
Healthy Home, Happy Heart
Through the Casa Sana, Corazón Contento (Healthy Home, Happy Heart) program, VCRC will work to decrease the disparity in obesity levels among Hispanic children and adults within our community by taking a multi-modal approach; teaching parents and caregivers about nutrition and cooking, while providing enjoyable exercise opportunities for students.

Kaiser Permanente’s community involvement uniquely pairs grant funding with 65 years of clinical expertise, medical research, and volunteerism to support prevention-focused, evidence-based programs that are expanding access to care and creating healthy environments. Ronald McDonald Care Mobile (Dental Services)
The Ronald McDonald Dental Care Mobile offers free preventative and restorative dental care for children through age 18 at Village Community Resource Center on a monthly basis. This service is made possible through collaboration with John Muir Community Health Alliance, the Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Contra Costa County Health Services Save Our Smiles program, Brookside Community Health Center, and La Clínica. Children who are uninsured and/or not eligible for other programs may receive dental treatment (sealants, cleaning, fillings, and extractions) at the mobile clinic. No one will be turned away due to lack of insurance or inability to pay. Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, and Private Insurance Accepted. Appointments are coordinated through La Clínica in Pittsburg.
