Gloria Pantoja
Family Resource Specialist
Gloria joined VCRC in 2018. Her initial position was a temporary one, but Gloria’s ability to advocate for and communicate with our students and families was so exceptional, we were thrilled when she took on a permanent role. A Contra Costa County resident since 1980, Gloria relocated from Colusa County where she served as a Spanish court interpreter for the Justice Court and the Superior Court while working for the Colusa County Collector’s Office. Gloria has proudly served the Latino community in Contra Costa County since 1986. That year, with her first daughter attending the Head Start program, Gloria joined both the Parent Board and the Parent Governing Board. Since then, she’s been a service provider to anyone in the community who needs assistance. Her goal at VCRC is to continue to serve her community by supporting parental engagement in kids’ education and social-emotional development. She feels strongly that children’s success begins with parental involvement. We are excited to have Gloria as part of our team at VCRC.
