We welcomed Carmen to VCRC in 2020. She was born and raised in Antioch, a first-generation American who credits her parents with always encouraging her to serve the community in whatever way she can. After graduating from Antioch High School, she was proud to enroll at California State University, Sacramento, where she majored in Psychology with an emphasis in child development. While in college, she was the volunteer coordinator of a youth group providing a safe space for teens. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in 2019 and comes to VCRC with the goal of helping children work towards their aspirations, no matter what obstacles they face. We are excited to have Carmen as part of our team at VCRC.
