Dear VCRC family and friends,
I hope you and your loved ones are well. Over the past week, we have all been taken away from our “normal” routines and made to think about a new reality, if only a temporary one. As an important part of VCRC’s family, I want to make sure I am keeping you up to date about our organization and programs.
After much consideration and as a precaution to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, Village Community Resource Center made the difficult decision to close beginning Monday March 16th for an undetermined amount of time. I want you to know that we do not take this situation lightly and have worked diligently to equip our staff with the resources to work remotely.
- Staff will be taking calls by community members in need and providing resources and updates through the following phone number: 925-325-2625.
- Our staff will also be posting information and activities for families on our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/VCRC.Brentwood.Ca) throughout the coming weeks.
- We have created a new VCRC YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4xk2FDdXOu7l2tMNCjBa9Q/featured or search for Village Community Resource Ceter on YouTube) where we will be posting video activities for kids.
This is a time when we can come together as a community and support one another: an elderly neighbor who needs groceries, an immunocompromised friend, or those who may live alone and just need connection through a simple phone call. In the midst of crisis, I believe we can be light for one another.
We are also providing food distribution every Wednesday @ 2:30pm. For more information or to donate please call Karina Martinez @ 925-791-3657.
If there is any way we can support you, please call Gloria at 925-325-2625. Also, please check our facebook page often as we are posting information about community resources Thank you so much for your support and please know that you and our community are in our thoughts!
Sincerely,
Kirsten Rigsby
Executive Director
