The multicultural event held at VCRC was organized and held because of the amazing efforts and love of our families. A committee comprised of our Parent Leaders met regularly prior to the event and connected through various phone-calls to engage support from additional parents. The goal was to share the diversity of our various cultures and to bridge differences through food. In addition to food, there was a dance presentation, games, and an opportunity for all to reconnect.
On parent said, “it was great to be part of this event. I loved the food and the games. The collaboration of everyone made this happen.”
Another parent shared, “What a good job the team did, I personally enjoyed it. I hope next year will be even better.”
At VCRC we strive to make connections like this everyday. While we serve and are part of a diverse community, there is so much the keeps us connected.
