Health Services

Wealthier kids have 33% more contact with doctors than their less-advantaged peers. At VCRC, we’re giving East County families an equal opportunity for health.

The John Muir Mobile Clinic provides a range of health services every Saturday (except holidays) at VCRC. There’s no cost for the uninsured. Treating community members of all ages, the Mobile Clinic offers primary care, treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, limited physicals, limited medications, immunizations, and a range of non-emergency care from physicians and nurses. General information, education, and referrals are available, too, along with Spanish-speaking staff. Women’s health services are offered the third Saturday of each month. This walk-in service is first-come, first-served, and available most Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Care is provided by the John Muir Physician Network and staff from John Muir Health in collaboration with La Clinica de La Raza and Contra Costa Health Services.
